Serving Children in Ethiopia

AT A GLANCE:

Ethiopia, located in the horn of Africa, is a rugged, landlocked country filled with time-honored traditions and the ruins of ancient cities. But in recent years, this country rich in history has survived severe drought which destroyed food supplies for its nearly 96 million citizens. Today, nearly 50,000 children are malnourished, and many families are unable to meet their most basic needs. As a result, many children are sent to orphanages or left to fend for themselves on the streets.

In spite of this devastation, we believe God is doing good things in Ethiopia through you.

Specifically, with your help, we have the privilege to serve orphaned and vulnerable children in the Ziway and Adami Tulu communities. We do this through quality education, feeding programs, and faithful discipleship.

Our three school campuses provide education for students in Nursery through 8th grade at no cost to the student.

We praise God for the way He continues to provide for vulnerable children and families in these communities in Ethiopia.

Ministry Overview

We work closely with Ethiopian leaders to serve the children of the Ziway and Adami Tulu communities.

Our three school campuses provide education for Nursery students through Grade 8 in order to advance each child’s full potential in life. Our goal is not only to provide education, but also to share the love of Christ with students as we guide them into brighter, hope-filled futures.

Areas of Focus

Since 2008 we have worked to reach children who are in need and disadvantaged.

On each school campus each morning we have prayer and Bible reading. The students also must read their Bible verses before coming to school. We also offer ethical education where students learn Biblical examples.

We provide high quality education across 3 school campuses–2 in Ziway and 1 in Adami Tulu. We educate students from Nursery through eighth grade.

Each student receives 2 nutritious meals every school day. This feeding program improves each student’s overall health, as well as provides them with the energy to be alert in the classroom and helps them perform well in their education.

Our home for vulnerable children currently houses 6 boys and 4 girls who have caring Ethiopian parents who provide them with a loving, secure family environment. Each child also receives medical care and education.
