2021 Year In Review

Because Of People Like You…

In the middle of historic challenges, we’re reaching

more children more deeply than ever.

This year, we’ve helped over 570 children come into loving, Christian homes through adoption.

That’s 9,690 children since 2002!

In 2021, we reached 10,214 children and 7,793 individuals in vulnerable families
with Gospel-centered care around the world!
In a year filled with heartache and uncertainty, God used people like you to bring His steadfast love and faithfulness to orphaned and vulnerable children!

Here are a few highlights of His faithfulness in 2021…

In January, the Muchk family in Ukraine bravely shared how God transformed their lives and kept their family together.

In February, our team in Thailand began constructing new dormitories and an expanded learning center on a new piece of land.

In April, our ministry in Tanzania kicked off an exciting new venture… a goat farm!

While many countries we serve continue to face the devastating effects of the pandemic, you are mobilizing our teams on the ground to meet critical needs.

Here’s a snapshot of what your support accomplished this summer.

In Ethiopia, our team shared the good news of the Gospel and distributed food to over 300 families in our community who were struggling.

In Ukraine, our team is walking alongside more than 150 families, building relationships and meeting urgent needs, like food and safe shelter.

In Cambodia, our team hosted an evening of worship, distributed resources, and shared a meal with members of our community.

In Zambia, during another school closure, we prayed with each of our 370 students and gave food to their families, providing meals for 1,850 people.

Frank & DaNae’s adoption story

Their son, Bralen, came home with the help from a Lifesong matching grant.

In May, we hosted the Third Annual Central Illinois Chef’s Table in Peoria. Over 300 special guests enjoyed dishes from 10 top chefs and heard from amazing guest speakers.

Between a presidential assassination, natural disasters, and heightened gang violence, this year brought new levels of difficulty for the nation of Haiti.

But God has worked through your generosity to show His constant care for the small island nation.

In March, in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation, our team began constructing four family-style cottages on our campus for Haiti Deaf Academy.

In June, our team started a new program for young single mothers to learn employable skills to provide for their families.

In August, we celebrated the first ever graduating class from Lifesong School in Haiti.

This year,

over 60 families were supported

through post-adoption grants for licensed counseling and therapy. Hundreds more have been supported through Lifesong-sponsored conferences.

“[This grant] is a gift from the Lord and affirms that He sees our son and is working all things to help him overcome his fears and anxiety. Our family is extremely grateful.”

We praise God for bringing us relationships with

over 529 adoption fund partners across 45 states.

These partners helped hundreds of children come home this year.

“It makes the adoption decision even bigger. Our church adopted these girls. It felt like our friends and family were part of it. And they felt that way, too.”

In September, our team joined thousands of orphan advocates in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit.

Your support made this an amazing year for Lifesong sustainable businesses like Lifesong Farms.

In 2021…

328 employees between Ukraine, Zambia & Uganda
$1,001,000 in sales
$574,000 of net profit given back to fuel local ministry
Over 1,600 lives impacted because a family member has a living-wage job

“Working at the farm, I’ve been entrusted with a lot of responsibilities. In this experience, I’m learning for the first time what it’s like to have a real job with real responsibilities.”

While school was anything but normal this year, our students around the world reached amazing milestones…

100% of our students in Haiti, Tanzania, and Ethiopia passed their National Exams!

Lifesong Liberia Vocational College celebrated its first graduation this November! 52 students completed their education to receive certificates in practical career paths.

This November marked three years since Miles and Jonah Askvig came home with help from a Lifesong matching grant. We were honored to tell their story on our blog earlier this year.

Your generosity made this the
most impactful year for adoption yet!

Thank you for reaching orphaned and vulnerable children with Gospel-centered care!
Because people like you are seeing orphaned and vulnerable children as priceless image-bearers rather than statistics, all of these incredible moments and countless more are possible. God is doing abundantly more than we can ask or imagine—through your generosity.
